In March 2021, Todd joined Cowden as a consultant for the health and benefits practice. In his role, Todd is responsible for assisting clients on a wide variety of projects involving the design, pricing, funding, implementation, and management of a full array of health and group benefits programs including medical, dental, life, disability, and flexible benefits. In this role, Todd acts as primary client liaison with day-to-day communication and deliverables.
With over 30+ years of employee benefits experience with insurance carriers, he has held various leadership and account management positions. Todd has a solid track record of achieving sales and account management goals as well as managing seven-figure budgets. He has well-rounded experience in underwriting, sales, account management, case implementation, data analysis and customer service, along with extensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability and voluntary product knowledge to help customers develop benefit packages.
Todd has worked directly with employers to develop self-funded programs. By using data analytics and working closely with his team and others within the insurance company, he was able to develop programs to keep medical trends below industry averages and some employers saw negative trend with their claims spend.
Todd was a finance major at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He holds a Pennsylvania Life Accident and Health license.
