Sherri joined the employee benefits practice as a consultant in May 2023. In her role, Sherri manages all aspects of her clients’ employee benefits needs including health and welfare, compliance in the world of health care reform, the development of company wellness programs and voluntary benefit offerings, and worksite products among other services. Cultivating relationships and focusing on clients and their varied individual needs is always a top priority. Sherri draws on many years of sales and service experience coupled with a background in human resources management, which act as the perfect foundation to provide superior account management and consultative services to clients.
Before joining Cowden, Sherri had worked in different capacities for various industries on the corporate side, including 12 years of experience within the security and fire industry as well as other consulting firms. She assisted in the development of an employee benefits department and acted as an enrollment specialist for UPMC. Sherri also holds a PA real estate license and spent several years as a full-time agent. This diverse background enables Sherri to offer valuable perspectives to effectively serve her Cowden clients.
Sherri is a licensed LAH insurance producer holding an associate degree in business management and a B.S. in human resources management from Geneva College where she graduated cum laude.
