Rich joined Cowden’s actuarial practice in August 2021 as consultant and actuary and is responsible for coordinating and completing client projects, presenting reports, and communicating and responding to client needs.
Throughout his career, Rich has gained valuable experience as an actuary and specializes in Act 205, multiemployer pensions, and postretirement medical to serve the needs of Cowden’s diverse client base. He works closely with clients to help explain complex ideas in simpler terms and has acted as consultant in arbitrations to share similar insight. In addition, Rich has mentoring experience to help train new employees.
Rich is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) an Enrolled Actuary (EA), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (FCA). Rich is an active member of the Whitehall Community Lions Club and is a graduate of Elizabethtown College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
