In October 2022, Heather joined Cowden as senior consultant with the employee benefits practice. Heather works closely with clients on a wide variety of projects involving the design, pricing, funding, implementation, and management of a full array of health and group benefits programs including medical, dental, life, disability, and flexible benefits. In her role, Heather acts as the primary client/project manager with day-to-day communication liaison with clients and creates client deliverables.
Heather has experience working directly with clients to develop strategies to improve employee experience while decreasing medical plan costs. She strives to maintain effective carrier relationships on behalf of her clients and actively negotiates carrier rates. Heather enjoys assisting clients round out benefit offerings to improve employee retention/experience.
She earned her B.A. in psychology from Lock Haven University and holds a Pennsylvania Life Accident and Health license and a NAHU Self Funding certification.
