Freezin' for a Reason: Employees Participated in the 2020 Polar Bear Plunge Benefiting Special Olympics

On Saturday, January 11, Cowden VP of Retirement & Actuarial Services Brad Rigby and Senior Analyst Nate Hoellman participated in the 2020 Beaver County Polar Bear Plunge at Bridgewater Landings Marina in Beaver, PA. For several years, the two employees joined partners at IBEW 712 to participate in the fundraising event, which was among nine Plunges statewide.

About the Polar Bear Plunge:

The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support local Special Olympics athletes by jumping or running into icy cold waters. Plunge participants take a quick dip in a river or pool to raise funds for Special Olympics Pennsylvania, the state’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
